Get cycling / Cycle considerately
When cycling in London please observe the following:
- Bikes are legal vehicles - you are bound by the same road rules as other vehicles
- Red lights must be observed - running red lights is dangerous for yourself and other road users
- Always stop for pedestrians - at lights and crossings when it is their turn to cross
- Be clear about your intentions - use hand signals when changing lanes or turning
- Stay off the pavements - unless marked for use by cyclists, they are for pedestrians only
- Ride carefully on shared paths - go slowly and remember that pedestrians always have priority
- Use your bell - let pedestrians know you're there
