traffic-safety In 2010, 126 people were killed on London's roads, 2,760 people were seriously injured and 26,003 were slightly injured.

The overall number of people killed or seriously injured in 2010 was 11 per cent lower than in 2009.

The number of children killed or seriously injured in 2010 was five per cent lower than in 2009.

Overall, London has seen a reduction of 37 per cent in casualty numbers when measured against the average 1994-1998 figure.

Although London has seen a reduction in casualties since the 1980s, there are still too many deaths and injuries.
