Background

We signed up to the Employer Accord Agreement in October 2006, an initiative from the London Employment and Skills Taskforce for the 2012 Olympics.

It is one of the many ways in which we can benefit Londoners in terms of employment and inclusion as well as keeping the Capital moving.

Having parents or carers who are not working is the main contributor to child poverty in the Capital. The Employer Accord aims to have provided 75,000 jobs by 2012 to Londoners who are not currently working. We want to be at the forefront of providing equal opportunities to all seeking employment.
