Boris Johnson, Chairman

Boris Johnson was elected Mayor of London in May 2008. Previously he was the Member of Parliament for Henley and the Editor of the Spectator magazine. He is a journalist on several national newspapers and the author of many books. He was born in New York in 1964 and brought up in London. As a teenager he won scholarships to Eton College and Oxford University, where he read Classics. He lives in North London with his wife Marina and their four children.

Daniel Moylan, Deputy Chairman

Daniel Moylan has been a Conservative councillor in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea since 1990 and was Deputy Leader of the Council from 2000 to 2011. He is a member of the London Waste and Recycling Board. He is Chairman of Kensington and Chelsea Environmental Limited and co-chairs Urban Design London. He also chairs the Mayor's Design Advisory Panel. He is a non-executive director of a property investment trust.

Peter Anderson
Peter Anderson is Managing Director of Finance at Canary Wharf Group plc. He brings extensive experience of managing and developing a major business within a rapidly regenerating area to his TfL role together with experience of influencing the development of transport infrastructure appropriate to an area of rapid commercial and residential development. He was a special adviser to the TfL Board from 2007, until his appointment to the Board in June 2008.

Claudia Arney

Claudia Arney is currently a Non-Executive Director of Halfords PLC and Which? Limited and an Advisory Board Member of the Shareholder Executive and Huawei UK. She was Group Managing Director at Emap, running the Media and Public Sector publishing businesses, until autumn 2010. Previously Claudia was Director of the Enterprise and Growth Unit at HM Treasury where she was responsible for many of the policy issues which affect business including competition, regulation and productivity. Claudia has also worked at Goldman Sachs, Pearson, the Financial Times and McKinsey.

Charles Belcher

Charles Belcher has had 36 years in the rail industry, of which 14 were as Managing Director, including for West Coast Trains, Wessex Trains and Silverlink. He was Chairman of National Rail Enquiries Ltd between 2000 and 2007. He will represent the interests of people living, working and studying outside Greater London served by TfL's rail services.

Isabel Dedring

Isabel Dedring is Deputy Mayor for Transport. Before her appointment, she was the Mayor's Environment Advisor. A qualified lawyer, she has worked across both public and private sectors including at Transport for London as Director of the Commissioner's Policy Unit and at McKinsey and Company, where she spent four years working with clients in regulated industries including telecoms and transport. She is a Board member of the Institute for Sustainability.

Christopher Garnett

Christopher Garnett is a member of the Board of the Olympic Delivery Authority and Chair of the Olympic and Paralympics Transport Board. He is Non-Executive Director of Aggregate Industries Limited, a supplier and manufacturer of concrete and aggregate products, and Non-Executive Director of Anglian Water Services Limited. He has been a TfL Board member since 2007.

Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson of Eaglescliffe has competed in five Paralympic Games, winning 11 gold, four silver and one bronze medal. She has held 30 world records. She is Non-Executive Director of UK Athletics, Vice Chair of Sports Advisory Group, London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, Director of the London Marathon and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Staffordshire University as well as holding other prominent positions in sports bodies. She has been a member of the National Disability Council and Senior Deputy Chair of the UK Lottery Award Panel. She was made a Dame of the British Empire in 2005 and was appointed to the House of Lords as a cross-bench peer in March 2010.

Sir Mike Hodgkinson

Mike Hodgkinson has more than 30 years' experience in the transport industry. He has served as Managing Director at Land Rover and Chief Executive at Grand Metropolitan Foods and BAA. He was Chairman of Post Office Ltd between 2003 and 2007 and a Member of the Commission for Integrated Transport between 2001 and 2007. He is currently Chairman of Keolis UK and Deputy Chairman of Tui Travel plc. He will represent the interests of people living, working and studying outside Greater London served by TfL's rail services.

Judith Hunt

Judith Hunt is an executive coach and independent consultant specialising in innovative programmes on leadership, equality, race and diversity issues. With extensive experience in local government Judith worked as Chief Executive, London Borough of Ealing from 1987 to 1993. She was appointed Chief Executive of the Local Government Management Board until 1999 before embarking on her consultancy career. She has acted in a non-executive capacity advising and chairing many public bodies including the Camden and Islington Health Authority and the London Health Observatory. In 1999 Judith was awarded the OBE for services to equal opportunities and local government. She has been a TfL Board Member since 2006.

Eva Lindholm
Eva Lindholm has an extensive financial industry background, having held various roles at J.P. Morgan for more than 20 years. Eva is currently Vice Chairman - Global Corporate Bank, having run the Global Corporate Bank in Europe Middle East and Africa for the past three years. Eva focuses on the coverage of public sector financial institutions among her duties. Eva is involved in helping recruit and retain top female talent in her industry. She has been on the TfL Board since 2006, and is a native of Finland.

Steven Norris

Steven Norris was the Conservative Party's candidate for London Mayor in 2000 and 2004. Before his nomination he was an MP for 14 years and Minister for Transport in London for nearly five years. He has been Director General of the Road Haulage Association, Chairman of the Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards Scheme and President of the Motorcycle Industry Association. He is currently President of ITS (UK), Vice-president of the National Society for Clean Air, Vice president of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, Patron of the national cycling charity, Sustrans and of the Campaign for Better Transport, (formerly Transport 2000). He is Chairman of Soho Estates Ltd, Saferoad BLG Ltd and AMT-Sybex Group Ltd and a director of a number of other quoted and private companies. He founded the Crime Concern Trust and the drug rehabilitation charity, ADAPT. He is Chair of the London Action Trust and a Trustee of the Fulham Football Club Community Sports Trust.

Bob Oddy

Bob Oddy has been a licensed taxi driver since 1966. He is currently General Secretary of the Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association - which has a membership of over 8,000. He has been actively involved in many issues affecting the taxi industry. He is Director of LTDA Enterprises Ltd and a non-executive Director of Computer Cab Company Ltd.

Patrick O'Keeffe

Patrick O'Keeffe has extensive experience in industrial relations. He has previously held the position of Deputy Regional Secretary for Unite the Union, formerly the Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU), the UK's biggest general union. He has also worked for the Irish TGWU, the Amalgamated Engineering Union, the British Airways Trade Union Council, the International Transport Federation and the European Trade Union Federation. He has been on the TfL Board since 2004.

Tony West

Tony West has been involved in the transport industry for more than 45 years. During six years as Assistant General Secretary of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF), he helped steer the union through the challenges of Britain's rail network privatisation. He has also been a parliamentary candidate, a borough councillor and a trustee director of the Railway Pension Scheme. He has been on the TfL Board since 2000.

Keith Williams

Keith Williams is Chief Executive Officer for British Airways and has been a main Board director for the last five years. He is also a Board member of Iberia and International Airlines Group. Prior to joining British Airways he worked for a range of major corporations including Reckitt and Coleman, Apple Computers and Boots. He has extensive financial experience including a detailed knowledge of business planning, capital projects, project finance, and has been involved in many recent issues such as pensions and industrial relations.

Steve Wright

Steve Wright, after an early career with London Underground, became involved in the private hire trade and successfully ran a private hire company for over 25 years. Steve is currently Chair of the Licensed Private Hire Car Association. This organisation comprises of 150 companies representing 15,000 drivers, with a further 1,000 companies registered. In 1999 Steve was awarded an MBE for services to transport in London.
